Director, Global Private Label & Strategic Partnerships

 

Location: Flexible (U.S.-based); travel approximately 15–20%

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (or Chief Commercial Officer)

 

Position Summary

NovaBone Products, LLC is seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Global Private Label & Strategic Partnerships to lead and expand one of the organization’s most critical growth initiatives. This role will be responsible for originating, structuring, negotiating, and managing long-term, value-creating private label and strategic partnerships primarily focused on the wound care markets along with other therapeutic areas including dental, cardiothoracic and others.

The successful candidate will bring therapeutic-area expertise (ideally in wound care), a strong industry network, and a proven track record of closing, managing and growing strategic partnerships. This role goes beyond transactional deal- making; it is designed to build “sticky,” long-terms partnerships that leverage NovaBone’s core strengths in technology, product development, manufacturing, and quality/regulatory along with partners’ commercial capabilities in sales, marketing, and development of clinical evidence. Co-development programs, clinical collaboration, and jointly defined growth plans will be central to success.

This is a highly visible role requiring frequent interaction with the executive leadership team and cross-functional collaboration internally, as well as regular engagement with partner C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.\

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership Development

  • Develop and execute NovaBone’s private label and strategic partnership strategy within wound care, dental, and other therapeutic markets in alignment with corporate growth objectives.
  • Identify, prioritize, and cultivate a robust pipeline of prospective private label partners, including but not limited to medical device companies, wound care companies, platform companies, etc.
  • Leverage an extensive industry network to proactively originate high-quality partnership opportunities.

Deal Structuring & Negotiation

  • Lead all aspects of deal development, including opportunity assessment, business case development, partner qualification, and internal alignment
  • Structure, negotiate, and close complex agreements, including supply,development, co-development, clinical collaboration, exclusivity,geographic scope, pricing, and milestone-based arrangements.
  • Serve as NovaBone’s primary commercial lead in negotiations, balancing partner needs with internal financial, manufacturing, and strategic priorities.


Partnership Management & Growth

  • Own executive-level relationships with existing private label partners, serving as the internal champion for partner success.
  • Develop and manage joint business plans that drive sustained revenue growth, portfolio expansion, and long-term mutual value creation.
  • Identify opportunities to expand partnerships through new products, indications, geographies, co-development programs, or clinical initiatives.
  • Ensure partnerships remain differentiated and durable, minimizing commoditization and transactional dynamics.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure successful execution of partnership commitments.
  • Align internal stakeholders around partner priorities, timelines, and growth plans while maintaining operational discipline.
  • Translate partner needs into actionable internal initiatives and communicate internal capabilities credibly to partners.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues focusing on what is best for the customer and company.


Market & Competitive Insight

  • Maintain deep knowledge of wound care and therapeutic markets that can benefit from regenerative tissues/biologics, competitive dynamics, reimbursement trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Monitor partner performance, market changes, and pipeline health to inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
 
Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of progressive business development, strategic partnerships, and commercial experience within medical devices or regenerative tissue/biologics sectors.
  • At least 5+ years of direct experience in wound care and other therapeutic areas where regenerative tissue/biologics can be utilized to improve patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in originating, negotiating, and closing complex B2B partnerships with measurable business impact.
  • Proven ability to grow existing partnerships over time, not solely close initial deals.
  • Experience working with or managing private label, OEM, or co-development relationships.

  • Executive-presence professional who is comfortable operating at the C-suite level as well as with middle management and functional leaders.
  • Highly effective negotiator with strong financial acumen and sound judgment.
  • Strategic thinker and a doer with a hands-on execution mindset.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Highly results-driven, be able to work autonomously, and comfortable operating in a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial environment. Must be a team player and collaborative. A self-starter and champion.

Travel

  • Approximately 15–20%, including partner meetings, conferences, and internal strategic planning sessions.
